For my Pastor’s corner, I started to write but then realized this is a historic time in our lives as our President was able to negotiate a peace treaty in Israel. As I watched the hostages that were being returned, I couldn’t help but remember the time when the Vietnam prisoners of war were being returned. I don’t think any of us could really understand what those families have gone through and especially the hostages.
The question is, will the treaty hold? The skeptics are already saying it won’t hold. I hope that it does, but if it depends totally on Hamas, with their track record, then we really don’t know.
I want to be positive but I do believe that the Bible is the final authority of history and prophecy. Thus, we need to realize that Jesus is still coming. The Ezekiel prophecy of the invasion of Israel by Russia and the Coalition is still to come and the greatest hope that we have is that Jesus is coming back and the rapture of the Church will happen.
I thank God for President Trump and all of his efforts. I do believe that his intentions are pure, and let’s face it, I believe that President Trump has done more for peace in the world than any president that we have had.
In the meantime, I will trust what the word of God has said and I believe that Bible has never been wrong, and remember that Jesus told us that Heaven and Earth will pass away but His word will never pass away.
I hope for the sake of Israel and this world that the peace treaty holds but I will put all my faith and trust in what the Lord says and not in man and his efforts.
