John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Galatians 6:2: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.“
I John 3:17-18: “But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.“
In those three verses the Lord give us the mission of Christianity and that is Love one another as Christ loved us. Then, we are to bear one another’s burdens and then, He tells us we are to minister to others not in word but in deed.
I am so thankful to have a church that is so full of those that really care about others. As most of you know I had a pretty good fall, and then about a week later I tried it again. If, you would have seen me right after that happened you would have said what in the world happen to you? I am alright and actually went to the hospital on Sunday afternoon and they ran a series of tests to find out if I had a brain. They found a brain but thankfully they didn’t find anything to be concerned about.
But you guys come to the rescue it seems in every situation, the nurses that we have in this church are so caring and not just for me, I have watched when people were hurting and I didn’t even have to ask. You came running with wonderful food and care for other people with a care that cannot be denied.
And how many times when someone was in financial need and you did not answer with your mouth, no you answered with a deed. I am so thankful for everyone at Grace but especially for the Love of Jesus that I see demonstrated time and time again.
So, I am just saying thank you and may the Lord Bless all of you and one day when we are in Heaven I will get to see our Lord honor you for the life that you have lived and to hear Him say “well done” my buttons will be bursting at that moment.
