A Word From The Pastor

“But he who is spiritual judges all things , yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.”

1 Corinthians 2:15

Because the person who has come to Christ and received the Holy Spirit, they then have the knowledge of and experience of all good things the Lord has prepared for them.  Thus, the Holy Spirit will not only give you knowledge of what is yours, He will lead you. He will lead you to the place where you are experiencing those benefits in your life.

The more a person is led by the Holy Spirit the more effective they will be in the Kingdom of God. Being effective in this life is all about being in the right place at the right time and in that place saying and doing the right thing.

This is why Galatians 5:16 says, “I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

The Holy Spirit will never lead you to the wrong place at the wrong time. He will never lead you to say the wrong thing, and a result you will be more effective than you have ever been.

The benefits of the Holy Spirit are marvelous but how does He lead us? I believe that Romans 8:16 tells us the answer. He says “The Sport Himself witnesses with our Spirit that we are the children of God.”  So it is vital that we understand that when God communicates to us, He does it through our Spirit. Not through your head, not through your senses. Therefore, it is vital that if we desire to hear from God, we need to endeavor to do it through our Spirit by looking inside where our Spirit is located. You could describe this leading that comes from the Holy Spirit as a sense of knowing or your intuition. It is when God shows you something inside your hear or you hear something from God in your heart.

Jesus heard from the Father just like this in Mark 2:8 says “Jesus perceived in His Spirit.”  In John 6:61 it says “Jesus knew in Himself.”  Jesus was not hearing something in His physical ear, but rather He was getting directions inside. The reality is that we should be hearing from God in this same way every day of our lives.

This is called the Spirit-led life. We should be looking inside all the time for direction from the Holy Spirit. Wet we get direction from Him and yield to Him, we will walk in all the benefits that we discover He has for us.

You have heard me say before but I truly believe that the Word of God is the fuel of the Holy Spirit and the more we take in the Word of the Lord then the more we will be able to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit in our Life.

Pastor Lee Cruse who truly believes that you cannot give away what you don’t have. Why are so many frustrated and not enjoying the benefits that the Lord has for them? And why do we worry and have so much anxiety in our Life? I believe it is because our tank is empty. We are not spending time with the Lord in His word and not giving ourselves over to Him in prayer.
