Matthew 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not near yet. This part of the Olivet Discourse is that when the disciples ask the Lord Jesus when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? One of the signs that we are close to the Lord, Jesus, coming for His church is that there would be Wars and rumors of Wars. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine of what is going on in the world and see that the Rapture of the Church cannot be far off. Today, the War between Russia and Ukraine which has gone on now for some time, and the number of casualties is in the thousands. Then, the United States attacking Iran, and there are many other places that war is so common that it is just another thing in life. We within the United States have no concept of how many are living in war torn areas. Many of our parents were part of World War II, then Korea, and then Vietnam. What would it be like to live in a world that War never existed and a people lived in absolute peace? There is coming a day in which War will be something that you will have to read about it in History. Isaiah tells us about that time when war doesn’t exist. Isaiah 2:4 He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hook; Nation shall not lift up sword against Nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. Can we imagine a time when no war, no mention of war? That is what we are heading for! It is called the Millennium, a time when Jesus will be in absolute control and He will rule that time with a fist of Iron. The Bible tells us that the Angels are fascinated with the redemption plan of God. I Peter 1:12 tells us that Angels desire to look into. Angels can live and move into the realm of this world and the Heavenly realm, they can see what we don’t see. This is why that at the grave site when Mary Magdalene was crying, they asked her “women why do you weep”. They see what Heaven is really like and they also see the future plans the Lord has for us. How great it would be if a child of God could just get a glimpse of the future that God has given us. But he has, for if you read I Corinthians 2:9 it says, but it is written, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him”. But look at the next verse, 1 Corinthians 2:10 which says But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. Pastor Lee Cruse believes that we have an unbelievable future and the Lord will give us glimpses of it if we will only pay attention.
