Will You Take Advantage Of The Opportunity?

I Corinthians 16:6: “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”

What a time to be alive and to think we are that Benjamin generation that could see the rapture of the church take place. But, we also must realize the question that Jesus asked, “that when the Lord comes will He find faith on this earth? “(Luke 18:8) The Lord has taught us that it will not be a cake walk in the last few days. 

He has told us that there will be a falling away and that the love of many will wax cold. But let me ask you this, when the Lord comes back will He find you being about the business of the Kingdom? 

So, let me ask what is holding you back? I believe there are many opportunities for service here at Grace. So, why have you not taken advantage of them? Opportunities especially in the area of children, and the area of teens and young adults. What is keeping you back?

Just like the apostle Paul who said that a great and effective door has opened to him. I believe that is true here at Grace. Why have you not volunteered? Just like the apostle Paul said and there are many adversaries. Oh, I don’t think that the adversaries are physical and or that you will be in danger like Paul if you do volunteer. The adversaries we face are more subtle than that.

The Devil will begin to tell you that it is not convenient for you to volunteer. May I say that Jesus His entire life was inconvenienced for you and me?

The Devil will tell you that you are not qualified, or that you are not educated enough, or you don’t know the Bible enough. But this is the opportunity for you to begin to study the word like no other time in your life. I have found when an opportunity is placed before me it is then that I will study like no other time.

Remember that Jesus told parable after parable about the gifts and talents that were given to people and the land owner or the master returned and they had to give an account? The one person who the Lord was not pleased with had taken his or her talent and buried it. You and I will stand in front of the Lord and give an account of what we have done with the talents and ability the Lord has given us.

So, we need you! Just come to me and say, “Where do you need me?” Or do you have a specific ability or talent? Then use it for the glory of the Lord.

Pastor Lee Cruse, who believes this is a crucial time in the life of this church and I am praying that there will be those who will step up and that many souls will be saved and Christians will be built up in the faith.
