Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; How wonderful it is to really know that your Heavenly Father won’t give up on you. I think that too many have a wrong concept of God the Father. I have in the many years that I have pastored, dealt with people who have been taught that if they fall and sin, that God turns His back on them. So, many that have come to me through the years and have asked for counseling, a great percentage of them come and the conversation eventually come to one question, does the Lord still love me? Blessed child of God, the Lord God, the Father who gave His Son for you, will not give up on people. Our Lord Jesus demonstrated that one fact over and over again. Peter who denied Him, the women caught in the act of adultery, and Jesus tells the story of a Prodigal Son and what did the Father in that story do? He ran to meet the boy who had insulted his Father and had blown his fathers hard earned money. Jesus tells us that story and the emphasis is simply on the Father. It is the Father that goes after the lost lamb, it is the Father that hunts and cleans the floor until He finds that lost coin. The Apostle Paul who said II Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. How we need to take just what our Lord says. John 6:37 He tell us that He will in no way cast out. In John 10:28 He gives us eternal life, and they will never perish, nether can they be plucked out of His hand. Do I understand how the Lord can love somebody like me and forgive me even though I have failed Him time and time again? But this is our Father in Heaven. Pastor Lee that hopes that we will realize that when we fail that we run to our loving Father who wants us to come to Him, like a child coming to his father with a broken toy.
