Last week was the anniversary of 9/11, and it’s a day that we will never forget. I have heard so many that remember exactly where they were when they heard. It was a day that we were attacked and terrorist believed that the tallest buildings were a symbol of who we were. As a result, over 3,000 people died when the buildings came down. Since that time, many of those individuals that rushed in to try to rescue those that still might be alive, over 600 of them, have died from the effects of breathing in vapors that came from the towers falling. I have seen pictures that I will never forget of those young firemen that were willing to enter those buildings knowing the danger and that they might not come out alive. May we never forget the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in that day. I must say I believe that this time was a shot across America’s bow, a wake-up call. America believed that because we were such a great nation and guarded by two oceans on each side that we were safe from those who could hurt us. But, the United States of America was, and is not, the same nation that fought two World Wars at the same time on two different Continents. We as the greatest Nation that has ever existed, put God in the back seat. I believe that the Lord allowed 9/11 to happen to wake us up, and to let us know how much we had strayed away from Him. It is time that we make II Chronicles 7:14 a reality and not just something that we say but don’t mean. It says if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. With an election coming up, it is time that God’s people realize the seriousness of the time we are living in and begin to seek the Lord’s Face. Pastor Lee Cruse
